COW PHYSIO?

Just like humans, dogs and horses, cows can need veterinary physiotherapy too. With an incredibly important job of producing milk or beef, any farmer would want to make sure the health and welfare of their herd is second to none.

Common injuries in cattle can include slipping and ‘doing the splits’ on their back legs, nerve and ligament injuries after troublesome births and bad backs. All of which can be helped with Veterinary Physiotherapy. Here, these cows are enjoying some well-earned treatment and TLC.

As cattle are far less handled, bovine physiotherapy can be pretty different to canine or equine physiotherapy. I can’t exactly start picking up their legs and stretching them or get them trotting over poles! But there are a few things that can be done to really help with pain relief or musculoskeletal healing such as massage and LASER therapy.

If you feel your animal may need some veterinary physiotherapy attention or you would just like some help or advice, please feel free to contact me via phone, email or via social media. All of my contact details can be found on my website.
